Embody the Light Women’s Retreat
Definitions
The teacher is the leader of the retreat who acts on behalf of Yoga Light and will charge a separate booking for their service of teaching yoga and organisation of the retreat. The client refers to the individual who confirms the booking and is responsible for all fees and charges incurred with Yoga Light. The host is the venue provider who will provide a separate invoice for accommodation and meals to be paid for by each client individually at the end of the retreat.
Booking and Payment Terms
- A deposit to Yoga Light is required at the time of booking. Please refer to the Cancellation Policy below.
- The remaining balance to Yoga Light’s services must be paid no later than 28 days before the retreat start date.
- A place on the retreat is not confirmed until the £200 deposit is secured.
- Failure to pay the full balance required by Yoga Light by the due date without a valid reason may result in withdrawal of the retreat place.
- Payment to the venue provider is a separate transaction and not to be confused with Yoga Light’s terms and conditions.
Fees and Inclusions
Yoga Light fees include:
- Ten 90-minute yoga classes with one yoga free day.
- Use of the Shala at the venue.
- Communication with the teacher prior to the retreat to answer any questions and discuss any issues.
- Travel guidance and arrangements which includes a flight to Tenerife South, ferry to La Gomera, followed by a further ferry or coach, and private access onto the retreat grounds.
- The teacher acting as first port of call during the retreat.
- Teacher’s travel and accommodation expenses for the reteat.
- Minimum of 50+ hours of the teacher’s preparation prior to the retreat.
Yoga Light fees do not include:
- Travel, insurance, accommodation, or food costs.
Cancellation Policy
- If the teacher cancels on behalf of Yoga Light you will be fully refunded.
- If you cancel – all payments received are non-refundable. However, if the retreat is full and someone on the waiting list takes your place, you may receive a refund minus a 10% administration fee.
- Please be advised to take out Travel Insurance in the event of unforeseen circumstances
The Retreat Venue
You will pay for your full board accommodation by separate arrangement with the retreat venue Finca Argayall at the end of your stay.
Please be advised that Argayall does not meet the usual safety standards for a hotel. The pools are not fenced or guarded. Most paths and steps are without light at night because the venue produces their own electricity. Not only this, but there is restricted access to the venue due to a rock fall in 2020 and that since then the access road is officially closed. Therefore, prior to your stay at the retreat you will be required to sign a disclaimer agreeing to take full responsibility for your physical and mental wellbeing (including sessions taken) as well as for your personal possessions, and in using the road either on foot or by any vehicle, you do so with your own responsibility.
For these reasons Travel Insurance is required for your own peace of mind.
Loss and Liability
By accepting these terms and conditions, the client agrees to indemnify Yoga Light against any loss, damage, claim, cost, or expense arising from their participation on the retreat except where such loss is caused by negligence on the part of Yoga Light only.
Data Protection
Personal details will be stored securely on Yoga-Light’s database and used solely by the administration team for record-keeping and marketing purposes, in accordance with the Data Protection Act.
