Yoga-Light 200+ Hours’ Teacher Training Course
Definitions
The Trainee refers to the individual who confirms the booking and is responsible for all fees and charges incurred, unless otherwise agreed in writing in advance.
Eligibility and Experience
- A minimum of two years’ yoga practice is required.
- All applicants must engage in a telephone call to assess suitability.
- If the applicant is deemed not yet ready, they may be advised to attend weekly classes or a retreat with Yoga-Light prior to enrolling.
Booking and Payment Terms
- A deposit is required at the time of booking. Please refer to the Refund Policy below.
- The remaining balance must be paid no later than 28 days before the course start date. Payment plans may be available upon request and where it may, in some circumstances, be possible to continue a payment plan beyond the commencement of the course. Please reach out to discuss this if this may apply to you.
- A place on the course is not confirmed until written confirmation has been issued by email.
- Failure to pay the full balance by the due date without a valid reason may result in withdrawal of the course place.
- Training and assessments are delivered by fully qualified YogaPros Teacher Trainers and independent senior yoga teachers.
Fees and Inclusions
Course fees include:
- Full access to the hybrid training programme (online and in-person at the Yoga Light Centre).
- Course manual in the form of PDFs which will be sent throughout the duration of the course.
- Certification through YogaPros upon successful completion of the course.
- Insurance cover whilst training for UK and EIRE trainees.
- Use of Yoga Light Centre equipment, including mats, cushions, blocks, straps, eye masks, chairs, and blankets.
Course fees do not include:
- Syllabus study books
- Travel, accommodation, or food costs
Refund Policy
- Refunds are only granted in exceptional circumstances, such as the death of a close family member, sudden serious illness, or loss of employment. Written evidence must be provided to ceri@yoga-light.com.
- If the course has not commenced, any refund will be issued minus a 10% administration fee.
- If the course has commenced, a pro-rata refund for the remaining portion of the course will be issued minus a 10% administration fee.
- In the unlikely event that Yoga Light cancels the course, a full refund will be provided.
Attendance and Course Completion
- Full attendance (100%) is expected. Attendance of no less than 90% may be accepted in mitigating circumstances.
- Trainees have up to six months after the official course end date to complete outstanding requirements. Additional fees may apply for resubmission of assignments or additional classes.
- Trainees are expected to maintain a regular personal yoga practice of approximately 5–6 days per week throughout the course.
At the Yoga Light Centre
Damage to Property
- No items may be fixed to floors, walls, ceilings, or other surfaces using nails, screws, pins, or similar means.
- Trainees may be held liable for the repair or replacement of any property damaged during the course.
Personal Equipment
- The Yoga Light Centre accepts no responsibility for personal equipment left unattended before, during, or after training sessions.
- Any storage arrangements must be agreed directly with the teacher trainer.
Conduct
- Trainees must always conduct themselves in an orderly and respectful manner.
- Yoga-Light reserves the right to refuse entry to or remove any individual whose behaviour is deemed inappropriate or disruptive.
Food and Beverages
- Trainees will be informed when they are required to bring their own food and drinks.
- Tea and water will be provided during the weekend.
- A shatterproof water bottle is recommended.
- Alcohol is strictly prohibited on the premises.
Loss and Liability
By accepting these terms and conditions, the trainee agrees to indemnify the venue against any loss, damage, claim, cost, or expense arising from their participation in the course, except where such loss is caused by negligence on the part of the venue.
Data Protection
Personal details will be stored securely on Yoga-Light’s database and used solely by the administration team for record-keeping and marketing purposes, in accordance with the Data Protection Act.
